Hirata receives Distinguished Scholar Award

Christopher Hirata, professor in the Department of Physics and the Department of Astronomy, has received the Distinguished Scholar Award, presented annually to six Ohio State faculty who demonstrate exceptional achievements in their respective fields. Hirata is known for his theoretical breakthroughs in cosmology, high-precision cosmological measurements and intensive technical studies of space telescopes and detectors.
