Bridge

Body

The Ohio State Physics Bridge Program is a two-year program for students with a bachelor’s degree in physics or a closely related field who are motivated to pursue a PhD but require additional coursework, training and research experience to excel in a PhD program.

Sponsored by the American Physics Society, the program is intended to help members of traditionally underrepresented groups such as African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans explore physics as a rewarding career path.

In addition to classes and work groups, Bridge Program students are assigned faculty and peer mentors and gain hands-on experience doing research and creating and presenting scientific posters. More
