This month, we are presenting a discussion of 2001: A Space Odyssey, the 1968 film by Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke. While we don't need to tell you that Clavius Base does not, in point of fact, exist yet, we will be hearing from experts on artificial intelligence, time and relativity, exoplanets and the conditions for alien civilizations, and human evolution!
Our panel is...
Zhen Wang, graduate student, Department of Computer Science and Engineering
Kiersten Boley, graduate student, Department of Astronomy
Rick Pogge, professor, Department of Astronomy
Jeffrey McKee, professor, Department of Anthropology
As usual, ASL interpretation and closed captioning will be provided.
