The Campus Gateway Film Center (1550 N. High St.) will present a 70mm screening of INTERSTELLAR, the 2014 film directed by Christopher Nolan.

This filming is part of the Science on Screen film series sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Before the film there will be a short presentation and Q&A about interstellar space travel, black holes,wormholes, and time dilation by Professor Samir Mathur, Ohio State Physics Department Professor David Weinberg, Ohio State Astronomy Department.

INTERSTELLAR has the most detailed and accurate presentation of black hole physics in the history of feature films, thanks to the central role of its science consultant, Nobel Prize winning physicist Kip Thorne. It stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, and Michael Caine.
