Towards Measuring the CP-Violating Phase with Atmospheric Neutrinos
We propose a new approach to measure the CP-violating phase in neutrino mixing using sub-GeV atmospheric neutrinos. We demonstrate the potential of our approach in Hyper-Kamiokande, incorporating realistic detector and systematic effects. We show that our approach can surpass the sensitivity of Hyper-Kamiokande's long baseline accelerator program near maximally CP violating phases, thus offer valuable complementary information.
