Do sterile neutrinos exist? Should we rewrite our particle physics and cosmology textbooks? Since the 90s, several experimental anomalies have been pointing towards the existence of sterile neutrinos. But large tensions with other datasets remain.

This Wednesday, the MicroBooNE experiment at Fermilab will be presenting their results searching for sterile neutrinos, with the aim of settling down the question. And we will gather to watch these results!

Pedro Machado, a neutrino theory expert from Fermilab who is joining us this week, will briefly explain for non-experts what these anomalies are, what the tensions are, and why MicroBooNE provides the results we have been expecting for more than 20 years. So, even if you are not an expert in neutrino physics, come and join us!
