IceCube

The IceCube Neutrino Observatory is located at the South Pole in Antarctica and was completed on December 18th, 2010. This was the first neutrino detector built of its kind and sits within and on the ice in order to search and track neutrinos. By doing so the observatory can help answer questions in physics such as the properties of neutrinos and dark matter. In addition, the IceCube Neutrino Observatory observes cosmic rays, which are made up of extremely high energy particles.

The senior scientists on the IceCube Collaboration Team from The Ohio State University who made up The OSU IceCube Group are Jim Beatty, Amy Connolly, and Michael Stamatikos.
