Physics faculty member John Beacom interviewed the television stars of "Mythbusters," Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, on stage at the Ohio Union in front of a sellout crowd of 1,100 people.  The Mythbusters show, which ran on the Discovery Channel for 15 seasons, applied scientific reasoning and clever experiments to test common claims about how things work, reaching audiences of millions.  After Beacom's hourlong interview, video highlights from the show were played, followed by half of an hour of questions from the enthusiastic audience.  Beacom was selected for the event by students from the Ohio Union Activities Board, including three students who took his Physics 1201 course.
