With larger galaxy surveys becoming readily available, these underdensities emerge as a useful and complementary tool to probe cosmology.  Utilizing weak lensing techniques can reveal the matter content of voids/troughs thus shedding light on the nature of dark energy and modified gravity.  I will discuss how extracting the information from voids and troughs can lead us to a better understanding of the underlying cosmology of the universe.  I will show a predicted lensing signal for voids in LSST and HSC using the SLICS simulations as well as the lensing signal for troughs in the GAMA and KiDS surveys.
