HELIX Collaboration Meeting Summer 2026

HELIX Collaboration Meeting Summer 2026

Date: June 4-5, 2026
Location: The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio

Helix
HELIX studies cosmic rays to better understand how energetic particles are produced and propagate through our galaxy. In particular, measurements of beryllium isotopes can provide important clues about the lifetime and transport of cosmic rays in the Milky Way. The High Energy Light Isotope eXperiment (HELIX) is a balloon-borne instrument designed to measure light cosmic-ray isotopes across a broad energy range. By combining several detector systems, HELIX can determine the properties of incoming particles with high precision and help address key questions in astroparticle physics.
Following its successful engineering flight from Esrange Space Center in spring 2024, the collaboration is preparing for the next phase of scientific analysis and instrument development.

This workshop will bring together HELIX collaborators to review progress, discuss current challenges, and plan next steps toward scientific results.

An agenda and other workshop materials should be available soon.
