Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. Sensory Friendly Day employs a series of theater games created to teach science to kids with developmental disabilities while developing interpersonal skills, like eye contact and facial-expression recognition. This event was planned by Anna Voelker, COSI Accessibility Intern, a fourth-year student majoring in astronomy and physics. Voelker recruited and trained several other undergraduates to help out: Jack Warfield, Chase Wallace, Sarah Avdakov, Malinda Baer, Josh Machado and Isaac Delev.
