- The Center for Cosmology and Astro-Particle Physics (CCAPP) at The Ohio State University (OSU) is holding a DES Instrumentation workshop in Columbus, Ohio on May 18-19, 2009.
- The meeting will bring together groups working on the control systems for the Blanco 4 m telescope at CTIO and the Dark Energy Camera. The second part of the meeting will focus on the design of the image builder software for the DECam instrument. People interested in participating should contact Klaus Honscheid. Principal topics will be:
- (1) Status of the control systems for the Blanco 4m Telescop and the Dark Energy Camera (DECam)
- (2) Interface requirements and conceptual design
- (3) Conceptual Design of the DECam Image Builder
