BOSS (Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey, part of SDSS-III) Lyman-alpha Forest Workshop

  • Thursday, March 26 to Saturday, March 28, 2009

  • The Center for Cosmology and Astro-Particle Physics (CCAPP) at The Ohio State University (OSU) is hosting a meeting of the BOSS (Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey, part of SDSS-III) Lyman-alpha Forest working group, March 26 to March 28, 2009. This meeting will plan work needed to achieve the BOSS goal of measuring the size and expansion rate of the high-redshift universe to 1.5% precision from measurements of the Lyman-alpha forest along 160,000 quasar sightlines.
  • The organizers are Rupert Croft, Mat Pieri, and David Weinberg, and local attendees are welcome.
