Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Planetarium

The Ohio State Department of Astronomy is home to the Arne Slettebak Planetarium, located in Smith Laboratory on the university’s Columbus campus. Its recently renovated 63-seat theater has a 30-foot dome and a state-of-the-art projection system.

The Slettebak Planetarium features a 12-inch Meade computer-controlled telescope, and astronomy graduate students lead viewing sessions there for undergraduates once a semester.

CCAPP cosmologists are able to use the planetarium on BASIS.
