For his work "challenging conventional theories and engineering new tools to detect ultra-high energy sub-atomic particles that could hold clues to long held mysteries of our universe", former CCAPP Fellow Steven Prohira was awarded a 2022 MacArthur Fellowship.

The MacArthur Foundation awards multiple Fellows in a broad range of arts and sciences. Its goal is to encourage the pursuits of individuals with 'outstanding talents'.
