We construct multi-dimensional models of the local starburst M82 using the cosmic ray propagation code GALPROP. Using the integrated diffuse emission, conjointly with the vertical distribution of radio emission along the minor axis, we constrain the gas density, magnetic field strength, and cosmic ray population as a function of distance from the disk and other cosmic ray propagation parameters. We replicated spectral features of the radio core and halo. Using our models, we provide direct constraints on the dynamical importance of cosmic rays in driving the galactic outflow of the galaxy.   MP 4054 Center for Cosmology and AstroParticle Physics (CCAPP) ccapp@osu.edu America/New_York public
